Flag? meaning like a warning? and you mean directory submissions is when you submit your website to Google and Yahoo? I have done it only once when I signed up to Wordpress and it instructed me to submit something to Google and Yahoo..not sure though..and what does it do exactly when you say you submitted it to the Browsers?

Yes, guest or blog posts are the best way. However, you must always try to participate in the discussions, and your post must be related to the content of the targeted site. Spamming is never the answer. If you are just randomly choosing websites and posting your links, then the result will be close to 0. For example, in this forum when someone joins the forum and he immediately start posting irrelevant messages with 2 tons of links, then the moderator (me) simply deletes the posts with a single mouse click. So, is it worth it? To be able to post his links, the spammer have to find a website, register (if its required) etc., and his post will be deleted with a simple mouse click. If your spam backlink miraculously survive on any website, then you have think about the quality of your referrer. When your do-follow spam backlink is left on that website, imagine how many other spam backlinks will be there. The possibility for this website to be on the search engine`s spam list rises and so are the chances of your website to be ``flagged`` by the search engine. Do you seek this result?
