what is difference between bolg post and article?
Hi there
An article is a lengthy piece of writing, written in an expert’s point of view, aimed at explaining a topic in great detail.

A blog post is a shorter piece of writing, usually in a ‘conversational’ style, aimed at updating or educating your readers, or to spark ideas and interest in your business.
Waiting for your views.

Blogs are a lot of the times shorter pieces of writing that evoke more opinions. Articles are usually more unbiased and a lot longer.

The only difference is that a blog post is an article with a timestamp attached whereas an article may or may not have a timestamp to tell you when it was posted (once you ignore the garbage that might be masquerading as a blog post or article but which is in fact neither).

RE: what is difference between bolg post and article?
Writing blogs is relatively easy as it is informal in nature because the information provided is more in the nature of a conversation and gramatical orderliness is mostly absent. Blogs are tips, general information, or otherwise brief information regarding the use and implementation of Symantec products. Blogs are generally between 100 and 500 words and are submitted to the site via the blogs area in the Symantec Connect community.
Articles are generally approximately 1500 words and contain explanations, analysis and/or visuals (screen captures, illustrations, etc.) Articles are evaluated on the value of the content to the community as well as on accuracy.

RE: what is difference between bolg post and article?
For me there is a thin line separating the two. At times, a blog post or comment is just short and straight to the point. It just mainly tackles the topic of the post being commented; observations and thoughts are what the common contents in a blog post. But if a blog comment becomes long and detailed, it would be considered as an article. But an article is based on facts supporting it while a blog comment is just merely an opinion.

Both are useful contextual backlinks to a website.

Article directory - You do not have control on articles that you post, the articles may be approved or rejected.
Blog post - Comparatively you have more control as you have the ownership of the articles
