In this thread I will try to explain , when is the best time for you to move to a dedicated server or is it the right choice for you .
If you are just starting a new website , you don`t have to rush with the big expenses . The best option for you is to focus on the creation of new content and SEO optimization . Almost 90% of all new websites are starting with shared web-hosting and that is the best place for your new website . After a certain period of time, depending on how unique and important is your content and how much time/money you had invested in your website , the traffic to your website will rise . When the traffic become bigger , than your shared web-hosting capabilities , it is time to move your website . The right next step is VPS (Virtual Private Server). On VPS hosting your website will have an unique IP/IPs and you will be able to use more resources . Depending on your plan , you can get a VPS with resources even bigger , than the resources available in some budget dedicated servers . Hereof , it is still not the right time to move your website to dedicated hosting and the best choice is to just rent managed or unmanaged VPS , depending on your technical knowledge . After a bigger time period and if everything is going like it was scheduled , your website will have a massive incoming traffic and that will require even more resources , than your VPS can provide . This is the right time to move your website to a dedicated server . Just keep in mind , that it will be 3x/10x more expensive , than a VPS . Another important thing for you to know is that you are going to need some pretty good server hardening , good firewall (hardware firewall recommended) and a lot of other security aspects, that you must cover . You can save time with buying a managed dedicated server , but then your monthly bill will be 30%+ bigger .

Yes, it is really good company. I have been using a long time their dedicated server. All of their dedicated servers are protected from DDoS attacks.
