Is Google Plus Killing Facebook?

I think Google + never beat Facebook.

I like the Google Plus features and I feel that they are under utilized due to the user base. Google+ seems to offer a lot of potential but Google has failed to deliver any sort of message that explains its real purpose, its long term plans and its value over other existing options.
