Kloxo does not run on all flavors of Linux. It only runs on CentOS or Red Hat EL 5.x. CentOS 6 is not supported yet.

Kloxo's GUI interface is good but it has many bugs that need to be fixed. So I won't say it's a main competitor of cPanel. Even the fact is cPanel is way ahead than any other control panel. In addition, Kloxo is too limited as well. And it does not correctly support 64 Bit CentOS 5 or 6.

Is there any domain limites on kloxo? i have seen a '40' domains limit in my installation.

Yes, by default the domains are limited to 40. However, you could increase this number by following the instructions given @lxlabs dot com .
