I believe that we have already managed to reveal the VPS architecture and usage, so now I will write a quick review of the most popular free software for VPS creation.

There are two main competitors on the free VPS creation software scene: Citrix XenServer and VMware Server. Both of the software platforms are very popular; however, VMware is maybe the most commonly used virtualization software. It is a great free product featuring centralized VPS management, remote management, ``headless`` operations, and much more. The only disadvantage comes from the decision of VMware management to suspend all support services for their products from the ``Server`` gamma. You can still use this software platform for free, but there will be no support.
XenServer is the newest virtualization platform available for free. The Citrix company is offering offering 24/7 support for all of their free/paid software products. The free edition of XenServer features centralized VPS management, tools for VPS optimization, instant VPS migration, and much more. This software product supports 64-bit hypervisor and it features all required tools for an optimal VPS creation and managing process.
