How much time do you spend in front of a PC?

My health is relatively fine, I am not overweight for my build, however I am a smoker so that's a down fall to this. I do take breaks every few hours or so, and I do take time off of the computer when I'm eating breakfast, lunch, supper, etc. When I am on, I am busy working, writing / designing / coding, etc. When I have "real life" stuff to attend, then I will break off from the computuer for a while.

Also, when on, I tend to smoke alot more, and want a drink more often - Bad habbits... :O

I take it as a habit to drink lots of water everyday , so it is not a problem I usually take water therapy when I am sick and avoid taking meds when I can. But I will not be progressive when I cannot drink coffee so it is a must everyday.

But I do not smoke, I drink alcohol but I do not smoke, I easily get sore throat when I am exposed to thick cigarette smoke.

Yes, the water consumption is very important for your health. Unfortunately, I`m also a caffeine addict , but at least I`m avoiding all alcoholic drinks

Well, how fast I drink my coffee is also how fast I drink alcohol sadly...I usually finish my coffee in 5 min, and most of my mates are still blowing off the heat from the coffee by that time lols! I do not drink coffee that is not reallly hot...so I drink it while its still hot sometimes causing my lips to burn but thats ok

I`ve heard that drinking hot liquids could damage your stomach`s lining, and this could lead to a variety of different stomach conditions. You should be careful with those too hot drinks

I am not aware about it, that how much time of remaining at the front of computer is good for health. So, i need to know about it. Please anybody tell me about it.

Hey AnthonyFreedom12, the latest studies on this subject are confirming that you should take 10-15 minutes break on every 40-60 minutes of computer work. Another important health aspect is taking the correct/comfortable body position, while working in front of a PC. You should also try to reduce all reflections from your display, because the reflections are further damaging your eyes.

Good info Max...I did not know reflections could damage your eyes, and about the stomach lining thing, did not know that too. I had always drink my coffee verryyy hot...this is one thing I should think about. Thanks Max!
