Poll: How much time do you spend in front of a PC everyday?

For many of us, staying in front of a computer for hours is an everyday task. However, did you ever thought how this can affect your health? How much time is the normal healthy limit?

I believe, that any period longer than 5 hours can lead to health issues in the near future. Maybe 5 minutes of exercises per every hour PC work, can reduce the potential future health problems. I`m really interested in your opinion, so please feel invited to post your point of view in this thread Shy

How are those long ``computer`` periods reflecting to your health, Redux Host? How about your weight, is it affected too, or you are also not eating through those long periods?

Well..with my work, I usually spend time in front of the PC for about 10 straight hours every day, and yes I agree it will affect your health...such as obesity and high blood pressure since you almost do not go out or take the time for exercise...I am overweight as of now because of this (but not obese), but I usually take long walks everyday for exercise Tongue

The walks are a good start point in the battle with the unhealthy lifestyle, Apaullo. Yesterday, I`ve spent 500$ for a new mountain bike (it is a real beast Cool

), and I`m planning to use it instead of my car. Off-course for distances shorter than 20miles Wink

Wow..nice one Max..Biking was one of my favorite past time when I was young Tongue

but now, I am too busy to go biking or do anything healthy lols! I usually start my day sipping coffee then go straight to my corner and use the PC, will take lunch break then go back again in the corner..then sipping my coffee break again and then proceed again..then go home and sleep and the next day same routine... Tongue

Staring at the monitor for long hours tend to make you hungry so I eat more than what I needed that explained my overweight Tongue

But I am positive I can be lean again with the right motivation lols!

Hey Apaullo, What is you coffee record for one day? Last month, I have managed to ``destroy`` 7 ``long`` coffee drinks in a period of 12-14 hours, Confused

and the result was a completely sleepless night with a heart trying to break free from my chest.

lols..my average coffee breaks is 4-5 each days..lower than that I will have a huge headache for sure Smile

1 coffee from home then 1 coffee when I arrive at the office, 1 coffee after lunch, 1 coffee at 3pm, 1 coffee just before I go home and 1 or 2 coffees before I go to sleep or when I am watching late night DVDs Smile
