RE: Dedicated Server/VPSs - Convertion Ratio
Nice..SSD's prices will eventually fall and all consumers will be able to afford them, including me Tongue The biggest advantage of SSD is the read/write speed I think, as you said the server processing performance changes big time compared to HDD's such as saving and downloading of files.

Yes Apaullo, when all huge and medium size HDD manufacturers move their production entirely to SSD, then the price will drastically decrease. The competition will be bigger and the components for SSDs will be produced at bigger quantities, resulting in lower price.

Can't wait for that one to happen Tongue Currently HDD prices went up around 30% in the Philippines >.< due to calamity that happened in Thailand which according to what I heard flooded an entire area including the factory that supply us with HDD.

I hope, that all damages caused by the calamity, will be reimbursed soon. There are a lot of big and qualitative HDD manufacturers in Thailand, and this will definitely affect the final HDD price.

Indeed it will, up until now the prices of HDD's did not decrease even after several months...my supplier told me that the market still haven't recovered the losses from the calamity that is why it is still 30% expensive than normal
