Even with managed VPS, the minor software operations are performed by the user/client. The forum software installation is a minor operation, but it never ``hurts`` to just ask your provider. If there is a free staff member, I believe the provider will help you. Anyway, it will be good for you to learn those basic installation processes. The installation could be performed through a console, but the most common practices are through FTP (uploading the install files) , extraction, permissions, etc. Once again, this is an easy process, and you could learn the basics in one hour. However, if you are still afraid from ``deep waters``, then you have to search for a provider offering ``one click installers`` with his services.

Ahh..if the installation is made thru FTP then I can manage i think, also the extraction but I might have some problems with the 'permission' since I have little experience on setting permission on a website Tongue

and yes I agree it will be a great experience for me to know the basics of website extraction and installation. I can't wait to actually try this one, but I still have lots to learn from here Tongue

All you have to do is just ask. I can`t give you exact instructions on this point, because I don`t know exactly what you are going to install. When the time comes, and you have made your software choice, I will be happy to assist you.
