Articles Directory Hosting
I have an Articles Directory with more than 25,000 members and 200,000 articles, just wondering which type of hosting should I be using without issues, am on budget since the site does not bring any income.

Hello Godeleine, VPS with a lot of resources or middle class dedicated server are the only two adequate options with 25000+ members. The big number of articles won`t be a problem with all hosting types, but this huge number of users is requiring a very big bandwidth and processing power quotas.

I agree with Max, acquiring VPS with hi hardware specs is needed to cater those 25k users you have, but I wonder with those numbers of users why not generate income from it?

All suggestions here being said are quite right Godeliene, you can go with Cloud Hosting is you are familiar with it and are comfortable using the platform, but if not then take on the VPS hosting with a high resource

VPS is the best choice for you, considering the large number of members(25000+). The main advantages are unique IP , more Bandwidth,more HDD space and the most important of all is its bigger CPU usage .VPS is good for those websites that are demanding more resources. I agree with cloud hosting.They are the hottest trend in the hosting market. Cloud hosting has many advantages over the shared hosting services and sometimes performs better than dedicated hosting solutions.

For that many visitors and that much content, you definitely want to start off with a VPS. I say a high end VPS should be a good starting point with 1GB of RAM.
