The Search Engine Optimization is a process of activities aimed at higher rankings on the search engines results pages . Every search engine is constantly gathering information , about all present or new websites . The process of collecting website content information is possible via search engines ``spiders`` or ``bots``. Those ``bots`` are gathering all significant information from your website by going through all accessible website content . So the purpose of all SEO activities is to keep that ``bot`` as long and often as possible to your website and to make your content/website SEO friendly . There is two types of SEO : on-site SEO and off-site SEO . The on-site SEO are all activities , which are connected with optimizing of the content , meta-tags , sitemaps etc. The off-site SEO are all activities , which lead to more often visits to your websites by the ``spider/bot`` . The main off-site SEO activity is building of backlinks (link building) . The off-site SEO is very important for defining the significance of your website and respectively the increasing of your website search engine rankings .
Hey max! I am glad you made this thread, I have small experience when it comes to SEO, I once worked for someone that wanted me to write website content with metatags that she wanted me to include in the article, that is already SEO right? But I want to learn deeper about SEO and the bots that you are talking about, the difference of SEO to backlinks, link biulding, etc.

I would greatly appreciate it if you can expound about this specific topic so I can learn more about it. Tongue

Thanks Max, I'm actually interested in learning more about SEO. I also tried to research on the two types of SEO and I was wondering aside from ADs how does SEOs earn income? I'm starting from scratch here, it is amazing how these search engines earn money, and what is the workflow of how they get paid. Well, I know Facebook actually posted how they earn income from the ADs. I think it's also nice to know how SEOs profit or if not how their sites run.
You are welcome mariesheila .A good SEO is bringing more traffic to your website and if you know how to effectively convert that traffic , you will be capitalizing it . The search engines are producing their income with variety of related advertising services . For example you can see on the result pages of search engines , advertising such as sponsored links , ad-words campaigns and similar . The search engines are providing direct advertising services , which guarantees them a direct income without any third parties involved . Because of that , their income is absolutely ``clear`` - without any extra financial commitments . The search engines affiliate market are also a big source of capitals for them .
Wow, so that's how SEOs generate income. No wonder why some SEOs have those annoying blinking Ad banners that won't let us continue to the next page until we click on them. Are those Ad banners examples of spams in website SEOs?
Hey Max, sorry if I was not able to follow up on this thread, quite busy, anyway I already know how SEO works atleast the general idea but I am really clueless as to how to make and implement them. Can you explain how they were made? Because I have a feeling I am gonna have to learn this for coming weeks Tongue
