VPS Selection – Managed or Unmanaged
This will be one of the shortest threads of the `` VPS Selection`` series, because the selection between Managed and Unmanaged VPS is entirely depending on your technical knowledge and available time for managing. Anyway, if you are confident in your technical abilities and you have enough time for VPS management activities, then you should definitely choose the unmanaged VPS, because the monthly rental costs will be 20-30% lower. Managed VPS is the best choice for all new to the VPS hosting or webmasters with not enough time for VPS maintenance, hosting software platforms installations, adequate security provision, etc… Regardless of the chosen VPS management type, you should always read in full the TOS/SLA of your provider, before any VPS purchasing, because you must be aware of exactly what you can expect from your provider (regardless support, VPS maintenance, etc…).
This is the third ``chapter`` of our new VPS selection series. You can check all other threads on this subject from the below links:
VPS Selection – RAM
VPS Selection – CPU
VPS Selection – Windows or Linux
VPS Selection – IP Adresses
VPS Selection – Control Panel

Stay tuned for the next discussion on another key VPS resource/feature and its importance for your website`s performance. Do not hesitate to ask, if you have any related questions.
