In recent times i have seen Mozilla Firefox browser is throwing its updates daily. I sleep
one night with a version 3.6.9 and next morning I saw Firefox 4 and within few days its
version goes to 11 without any major updates why are they are giving so many updates.
When it comes to release a new version people expect something new in it but Firefox fails
to do so. Look at internet explorer, every time they release a new version they must apply
some major changes in it.
I think Mozilla Firefox just wanted to win the race in version numbers since internet
explorer is currently on 9th version. Mozilla is at 11th release.
Woaah!!! Firefox wins the race but only in version numbers.
I use Mozilla ever since I discovered it

and been using it still even with the creation of Chrome and some other major browsers, I use Mozilla because the interface is easy to understand, remember and customize. It is true that some applications run much faster in Chrome (nevermind IE) but I find it hard to use their interface, OPTIONS tab is hard to find and I find the OPEN NEW TAB in Mozilla very very useful, I know Chrome has it too but still Mozilla is the first to invent it.
Though to your question, some say that Mozilla believes that the browsers are the windows in the world of Internet, and as such it has to go with the times if not they will be left behind, since the Internet changes constantly every minute. So if they wait for an update for a year, some applications will not be running in your current browser since the update will be released next month (example), thus a constant update is required.
But also some most believed that it will be disadvantageous to Mozilla if they keep on releasing new updates every time we sleep.
Thanks Apaullo for replying
Even i was also using Firefox from a long time but recently i switched to Chrome due to these updating.
The Firefox team is working with a new release schedule, and that is the reason for all of the recent updates. With the new schedule, they are releasing an update every six weeks. Off course, this could be also a part from their marketing strategy.
Yep, FF is releasing their updates by bits or smaller sizes thus making small changes in a way that some software developers will make have an easier time keeping up with the changes with FF, they are releasing new updates about 8 times a year, adding a little bit on the code of add-ons on every updates thus letting the add-ons much more compatible on most softwares.
Yeah you are right. I think firefox tries to compete with chrome and explorer. I Think that is the reason they tried new changes as daily routine and updated their browser.
I believe the competition is not involving Internet Explorer

Seriously, is there anyone using IE? (except Bill Gates of course)
Thats true maximus

Bill gates will be the only one using IE .... But i have seen some people who love to use IE . According to them they found IE more easy to use than Chrome or any other Browser ....
IE is a resource HOG..takes up more time loading than for the screen to appear lols! And it ALWAYS hangs, saying NOT RESPONDING..it is now between Chrome and FF, I am leaning on FF
Whatever, Version 9 or 11 or any other matter of race, the service of firefox is most better i think that. So, we need to look at more at the performance of forefox, not at its versions at all.
